Here at Sims, we are an all-inclusive, design-build, residential, remodeling company focused on fulfilling our client's visions - through the utilization of our in-house design team as well as our professional management and field staffJob Summary : As a Field Supervisor at Sims Exteriors & Remodeling Inc, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating remodeling projects from start to finish.

You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

The Field Supervisor will work closely with project managers to be their eyes and ears in the field. You will help answer questions for team members, subcontractors and clients to ensure all aspects of the project are executed smoothly and successfully.

Of equal importance will be your documentation each day along with the training and development of field staff. You will bring a new level of organization and improved processes for field operations that the company currently does not have.

Client communication will be a minimum as your main communication will be with the project manager who is responsible for client communicationKey Responsibilities : -Supervision & Training : Directly supervise field staff, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.

Provide guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently. Take time to work with the team members to develop skill sets and increase efficiency.

Develop measurable training programs and plan scheduled times with the project manager for said training.-Quality Control : Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideally we would want you visiting each ongoing project 2-3 times a week to check on progress and ensure standards are being met-Safety Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Take corrective action as necessary to address safety concerns. Ensure each field team member has taken the required safety training.

Provide forklift training to shop personnel. -Material and Resource Management : Coordinate with the company's delivery personnel to ensure delivery of proper materials, equipment, and resources to the job site as needed.

Project Management Assistance : Work closely in coordination with the project manager, ensuring that all work is completed on time and according to specifications.

Take notes of findings and needs at each site visited and be sure to include it in the End Of Day email report. -Direction Meetings : Be present at each Direction meeting.

These usually take place on Mondays and Tuesday between 3-5pm but may occur at other times. These meetings are planned 3-4 weeks in advance and usually there are only at most 2 per week with the norm being one per week.

These meetings are crucially important as every detail of each project is reviewed. Having a clear understanding of each job and the nuance of each unique scope of work is critical to the success of each job.

Being the eyes and ears for the project manager requires the field supervisor to be in tune with the details of each project and therefore it is necessary to present at these meetings.

Problem Solving : Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the course of the project, working proactively to find solutions and minimize delays or disruptions.

Provide feedback along with suggested action plan to sales team and project manager-Documentation : Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any changes or modifications to the project scope.

Provide end of day emailed reports of job sites that were visited that day. Document tools and supplies that are checked out and returned each morningTypical Day-Meet the team at the shop at 7 : 00-30am.

Direct crews to acquire needed tools and supplies before their departure to the job site-Ensure tools and stock materials are checked out and documented.

Direct as needed-Email end of day report to project manager (send regardless if phone or in person conversation was had).
